Do you want to know about the judging process and what happens in the judging room?  National Association Certified Quilt Judge, Kathryn Zimmerman, will give an overview of the judging process and the critique form used by the Asheville Quilt Show.  Time will be allowed for your questions.

Learn how to use the Stripology Ruler to quickly cut multiple squares and rectangles all at once - perfect for speeding up your quilting projects!  This versatile tool goes beyond basic cuts, allowing you to create half, quarter and eighth cuts with ease.

Making and Creating with Fabric Yo-Yos -  Marcia Layton Designs, Marcia Layton

Learn how to make fabric yo-yos with the Clover yo-yo makers.  It’s an old quilting technique simplified!  Making yo-yos by hand is relaxing, fun and is a great way to use up fabric scraps.  Get ideas for how to add yo-yos to your quilts and sewing projects for wonderful texture and interest.

Dynamic Dresden Blocks - 5 Little Monkeys Quilt and Sew, Angie Lamoree

Angie will demonstrate how to make double ended Dresden blocks with lots of fun fussy cutting options.

Using a 15 degree ruler, Patti will demonstrate the Round and Round quilt block.  The quilt looks difficult, even though it is sewn with straight lines - BUT the design looks round!  The construction is easy enough for a beginner.
