The Asheville Quilt Guild not only offers exciting programs, workshops and bees, and a nationally renowned annual Quilt Show, but also contributes to the community through hundreds of donated quilts to local nonprofits, free classes for children, cancer survivors and incarcerated women, and inspirational quilts displayed at the Southern Highland Craft Center and UNCA Reuter Center.  While dues and the Quilt Show provide much of the income needed to operate the Guild with all of these offerings, additional income is needed. 

Ways & Means helps to raise those funds by:

• Creating an Opportunity Quilt that is raffled off at the Quilt Show
• Sponsoring a Silent Auction at the Quilt Show with beautiful small quilt projects that members and the public can purchase
• Encouraging members to make donations and a bequest to the Guild in wills
• Offering advertising for quilting businesses in our Guild newsletter

The support from the members of all these activities is what keeps the Guild strong, learning ongoing, new friendships being formed and sustained and many, many quilts being created! Thank you to all who support the Guild!
